The return of dANi/ALvo, after one year of silence from his main project Testing Vault, showed that the research of that perfect "psychotropic sound" he was searching for describing his artistic and shamanic visions, never ended.

"The Opal Sequence" came out after the tribute to Ira Cohen’s powerful readings of "Fungoid" (September 2013), and where before the instruments were used for long and quiet drones, now this state of trance is accelerated and taken to a level of dark and thoughtful paranoia and hysteria. The beats, mainly made with the mouth or with handmade percussions, are convulsive, and the drones became subtle and explosive at the same time… the songs became much more shorter, and apparently simpler.

But there are different layers and nuances to discover, time after time – after all, as the Opal itself, there is not only one color to see.
